We’ve found this ad platform to help with sales associated with your brand. For example, when selecting this option, focus your ad keywords on your company name and/or your brand name. We don’t advise using this platform for individual product sales.
Sponsored Product Ads:
These ads are the heart of Amazon product sales. We advise using manual keyword settings for these ads. Set up an ad for each product, include its variations if any, and look to Amazon for ideal keywords. Think like a customer, go to Amazon and search for your product with possible keywords. Amazon will predict what you might type. Use these keywords and phrases in your ad’s keyword list. Start with the lowest bid suggested in the range to get started. Remember to add negative keywords to help curb advertising spend.
Sponsored Display Ads:
These ads have a variety of uses but we find them best for upselling to a better/more expensive product or to pitch your products against your competitors’ product. Again use manual settings and look to Amazon to help select your keywords. By bidding against competitive products you can grow your brand awareness but these do tend to result in higher clicks but not with the same sales return as Amazon’s Sponsored Product Ads.
